About Smart Araneta Coliseum (The Big Dome)
Smart Araneta Coliseum (known as "The Big Dome") is one of the largest indoor multi-purpose arenas in Asia. Located at General Roxas Ave, Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila, it is part of the Araneta Center. Opened in March 1960, the venue features a clear-span dome measuring approximately 108 meters in diameter, one of the largest in the world. It occupies nearly 4 hectares with a 2,300 sq m floor area. The coliseum hosts basketball (PBA, NCAA, UAAP), boxing, concerts, circuses, religious gatherings, beauty pageants, and other events. Capacity ranges from 16,000 (basketball/boxing) to up to 20,000 for concerts with standing configuration.
