About Axiata Arena
Axiata Arena (formerly Putra Indoor Stadium) is Malaysia's largest indoor venue, located in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, within the KL Sports City (Kuala Lumpur Sports City) complex. It opened in 1998 and was rebranded as Axiata Arena in 2017. The arena has a maximum capacity of 16,000 for sports (13,000 permanent upholstered seats plus 3,000 retractable seats) and approximately 11,000 seats for concert configurations. The rectangular floor measures 69 × 35 meters and is equipped with 4K UHD LED scoreboards, an advanced sound system (SENNHEISER & L-Acoustics, 103 dB), LED floodlighting up to 2,000 lux, five corporate suites, VVIP holding rooms, and Wi‑Fi. It has hosted major concerts (e.g. Dua Lipa, IU, G-Dragon, Super Junior), the 1998 Commonwealth Games gymnastics, Malaysia Masters badminton, and the 2009 ASEAN Para Games.
