SOUL OF SHAOLIN•HUIGUANG’S STORY – Introduction

Shaolin’s iron fists reign supreme!

Soul of Shaolin melds magnificent stage artistry with world-revered Chinese martial arts, featuring elite disciples from the renowned Henan Provincial Shaolin Wushu Center that have forged through two decades of rigorous training. Their masterful Kungfu techniques unleash the very essence of Chinese martial arts culture. This play was rated as one of the key projects of Chinese cultural. It was simultaneously nominated the Best Special Theatrical Event in the 63rd Tony Award and the 54th Drama Desk Award. Now is coming to perform at Axiata Bukit Jalil on 1^st March, 2026!

SOUL OF SHAOLIN•HUI GUANG’S STORY tells a touching story about loss and reunion. A child, who was separated from his mother during the chaos of a war, was luckily rescued by Shaolin monks. He grew up in the temple under the teaching and care of Shaolin monks and finally reunited with his beloved mother. The play is based on the joys and sorrows between mother and son, connecting all kinds of distinctive Shaolin Kungfu and martial arts scenes in daily life. This gripping tale of familial bonds explodes with spectacular displays of Shaolin Kungfu, weaving together boxing, qigong practice and various weaponry. Through dramatic staging, the production reveals the perfect unity of spiritual and physical prowess in traditional Chinese martial arts, which made Shaolin Kungfu to be more entertaining and awe inspiring. The play created a new art form of Kungfu.

The play was performed in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Norway, Bulgaria, India,  Indonesia, Korea, Turkey, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, etc. Thus far, SOUL OF SHAOLIN has been performed more than 600 times, entertaining over half a million people.

·  The play will run for about 1 hour and 40 minutes including a 15-minute intermission.

由嵩山少林武术馆创作、编排，荣获无数好评及奖项提名，曾在百老汇舞台大放异彩、享誉国际并获得美国百老汇托尼奖、最佳剧评人奖两项提名奖的大型功夫剧《少林武魂·慧光的故事》即将首次登陆 Axiata Arena！该剧将通过无言语的舞台剧表演形式，结合艺术与武术以更具戏剧层次与视觉冲击，全面呈现一出具中国武术的精髓与精神意涵的功夫舞台剧。

《少林武魂·慧光的故事》以磅礡的舞台艺术融汇历史悠久的少林真功夫，由河南省少林武术馆严选功力深厚的高手，展现中华武艺刚柔兼备的神韵。

《少林武魂·慧光的故事》描述了在一次战乱中，一对母子失散后，幼儿慧光被少林武僧救起，在众僧人的关心与教诲下习武成长的过程以及母子间悲欢离合的动人故事。动人的亲情故事贯穿少林绝技与习武实境，将拳法、器械和内功等融为一体，精彩绝伦的武术场面包括童子功、拳术、软气功和器械表演，一次过观赏多种顶尖少林武艺精髓。

此剧已在多个巡回演出包括美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚、意大利、挪威、新加坡、马来西亚、印度尼西亚、印度、韩国、土耳其、保加利亚、等国家和中国港澳台地区，累计演600余场。
